Lina Peterson MA (Masters of Arts in Health Psychology) treats clients with a variety of challenges: Depression, Stress and Anxiety, Trauma, Loss and Grief, Relationship issues. Her specialty areas are: Addiction and Substance Abuse, Impulse control disorders, and Co-dependency. Trained in a variety of therapy modalities she integrates philosophies from the medical, psychological and self-help communities in order to treat the whole person.
Ms. Peterson believes that the highest goal a therapist can have for a client is to help them discover that solutions to problems lie within and to pass on tools to guide people to those answers. Her approach to psychotherapy focuses on developing a safe, collaborative relationship where new insights and change are possible.
Ms Peterson started her clinical career abroad (Lithuania) and has been practicing in United States since 2004. Since she had an opportunity to live in many places around the globe (Algeria, Russia, Lithuania, France, US) Ms. Peterson brings to her work a deeper understanding of a wide cultural and ethnic diversity and views clients’ unique individuality as a most precious aspect of their existence. She is fluent in Lithuanian and Russian and welcomes clients who prefer to communicate in those languages.
